When I was a young boy, I remember watching the Muppet Show. At the beginning of each episode Gonzo would play his trumpet and some hilarious thing would happen. I knew right then the trumpet was for me!
I have always been passionate about music and love to share that with my students. I know how hard it can be to learn an instrument, and patience and persistence is the key. It doesn't matter what level you are, or how well or poorly you think you do. If you want to practice and get better, music lessons are for you!
I have been teaching now for 10 years. I studied at the University of Northern Colorado, Eastern Washington University, and Centralia College. I have had the privilege of playing all over the country in groups and as a soloist in bands like UNC lab I, Bob Curnow Big Band, Locust Street Taxi, and many others. I currently hold the principal trumpet chair for the Pacific Northwest Chamber Orchestra, and am a member of the PNCO brass quintet. I enjoying playing in many special church services around the area as well.
